  Great prices and enough selection to get most anything you may need. Produce gets picked through quickly, so you will have to know restock dates to get it fresh. The best prices on everything else.

  Today was one of my worst experiences at ALDI in Tampa Fl, Store #51 (University Place). The cashier, Sebastian, usually has a bad attitude and is always in a grouchy mood. Last week, he was so irritated because I noticed that I was being overcharged for some of my produce. I ignored his arrogant annoyed behavior and made an assumption he’s having a bad day. Today, a week later, he was the only cashier, and I had no choice but to check out with him. First, I changed my mind about purchasing an item. When I told him I didn’t want it, he rudely replied, “Go put it back from where you got it from.” I was surprised! I have never, ever been spoken to like that in a supermarket, not even at Walmart. As he was scanning my items, he was throwing them into the cart. I had some very ripe vine tomatoes. So I quietly picked them up and placed them in the shopping cart seat to avoid any further damage to my ripe tomatoes. He started shaking his head in annoyance and aggressively slammed the last package of ripe tomatoes into the cart seat. I was shocked!! Now, I know going to ALDI is not like going to Publix. I don’t expect him to say “Hi,” or “Did you find everything okay?” But I do expect to be treated with respect. I was intimated by his behavior and felt afraid of his temper escalating for absolutely no reason.
