- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆August 27, 2020, by Carlos RamosWe purchased our sectional and recliner along with a coffee table, 2 end tables, and a bedroom set in May of 2014. This being our first time purchasing new furniture we were quite excited. The sales man quickly told us about the extended warranty plan which we thought was a great idea and added it to our purchase. When the warranty plan was explained we were told this would cover accidental rips, tears, if anything inside breaks or causes the couch to sag etc. Within the first few months we had the lounge section replaced due to something inside broken that could not be repaired. Since then, normal wear and tear has occurred which is understandable but in 2016 that is when we started to have the peeling issue along with the lounge handle breaking. We quickly contacted the warranty company who was less than helpful. We submitted multiple warranty issues: peeling in multiple areas, stitching becoming undone, lounge sagging, lounge recliner handle broken. The warranty company quickly denied all claims except the broken handle. To our surprise we were told that the warranty we had been told we had was actually only for the 1st year then after the 1st year the warranty reduced it’s coverages drastically. This was very upsetting because this was not what was explained to us when purchasing the coverage. Even though the warranty was not able to cover all our issues we at least wanted to get the lounge fixed. We had someone come out. They explained they would have to order the part. It has been over a year later and the lounge is still not repaired. I have tried contacting the company, emailing, re-submitting the warranty issue and nothing has been done. Overall the entire experience we have had with American Signature and the warranty company used has been horrible. The sectional and recliner looks like it is 15 years old. My wife and I pick up pieces of the couch off of the floor daily. The strange part about the peeling is that it effects almost every section of the couch except the recliner. The recliner was replaced a few months after purchase which makes me think the way the original sectional was made may have been defective. In regards to the recliner, we can’t recline the lounge and honestly I am reluctant to use any of the recliner’s because if they break it doesn’t look like I would ever be able to get them fixed. At this point in time, based on the experience we have had, I don’t plan on purchasing from this company again.

- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆February 15, 2020, by Michele CacioppoAlways an issue with the furniture. Not going to purchase another set there. First, we had the issue with the whole bonded leather scam. They did give us partial store credit only after they took back our couch. We just purchased a brand new 100% leather electric recling sectional from them. Had to have a tech come out once for scratches at delivery already. Now after less than ONE MONTH - there is already a short in the wiring on one of the recliners. Back in the day AS was a reputable furniture store and we had purchased our kitchen, bedroom, dining room, kids bedroom from there. Not sure what the heck happened to them but this set will be our last. I'm moving on to new furniture manufacturers. I'm done with AS. That is my advice to all looking to purchase. Sorry folks!
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆December 22, 2019, by Krystal WillisI purchased a warranty including an extended one for my furniture I've had the set under 2 years paid off and they're refusing to fix it due not reporting within 10 days of finding it which was used to hospitalization and other family emergencies and they're refusing to fix my furniture. I had the damaged cushion looked at by a repair company who informed me the damage is a flaw in material of cushion and they wouldn't even touch it to fix it without a release from company bc they didn't want to be blamed if damage wasn't fixable and AMSF Still is refusing to take responsibility for it.
