  Read the reviews related to delivery very carefully, especially related to washing machines. We experienced a terrible installation from the Famous Tate employees. The delivery came with damaging the existing drain line – one that had worked for us the past 14 years we have lived in the house and for two other washing machines. The Famous Tate "installers" damaged the line when removing the old washing machine and then stated “it was already broken.” The entire reason that we were replacing the existing washing machine was that it, the existing washing machine, was leaking – not the existing drain line. We have dealt with the leaking washing machine the past week, had pulled out the old washing machine from the wall to see it leaking, knew the exact location of the leak from the old washing machine, and definitively saw that the drain line was not leaking while washing a load in the old washing machine. There was a repair that had been on the drain line since before we bought the house, but the drain line was not leaking. If it was leaking, we would have repaired or replaced it, not the old washing machine – it would have been a whole lot cheaper. During delivery, one of the installers pulled the old washing machine discharge line out of the drain line and some water came out of the flexible hose. The installer then stated the drain line was leaking, pulled off the repair on the existing drain line, stated we needed to call a plumber to fix it and then said it wasn’t his problem. Unfortunately, the helpfulness of the salesman who we worked with at the store to purchase the washing machine was not as apparent when we requested Famous Tate pay for the plumber cost to repair the drain line the Famous Tate installer damaged. Some words of advice – in the event you do purchase an appliance from Famous Tate, be sure to watch (or even video) the entire installation process for your protection. Needless to say, we will not be shopping at Famous Tate in the future. _______________________________________________________________________ Nice canned response from the owner. If you feel that you need to purchase an appliance from this store and the "Famous Tate delivery staff", video the entire process at your home. Prior to delivery, my drain line worked fine. Post-delivery by their employees, a $386 charge from a plumber. A plumber was only necessary because of their forceful delivery and incompetent installation. Both the "Famous Tate delivery staff" and I know what they did. I suspect the manager does as well... Use their delivery staff at your own risk.
